YAC is working with communities around Nova Scotia to establish TD ARTpreneur projects and hubs that support young creative people to build businesses and careers based on their passions. A free online toolkit created by ARTpreneur alumni is also is available for youth to work on their business skills on their own at www.artpreneurs.ca
As communities grow their support for emerging creative social entrepreneurs, YAC will support them to connect beyond their communities through online communities and regional activities.

TD ARTpreneurs programming is designed to introduce young artists to basic business concepts, and help them make a business plan built around specific activities and events.

Maje (Rap Artist)
Hip Hop performer and activist MAJE won the Music NS Viola Desmond Songwriting Contest, taking home a $10,000 prize in February of 2015.
Cavell Holland (Dance/Graphic Designer)
After studying in NYC at Broadway Dance Centre, Cavell founded a hip-hop dance company called “Small Fortune” which is vastly growing to be one of Halifax’s premier performance groups.
Paige Cameron (Digital Artist)
Paige has shipped 8.5 million new digital products for international video game, giant Valve since 2015 through her company, “Whiterend Creative Inc.
