To end off the Emerge Showcases, we will be having a Poetry Jam! The EMERGE: Word Up! Poetry Jam will be exploring the creative journey these artists have experienced while navigating through experiences like this pandemic, social injustice, and more! We're excited to bring Killa Atencio, General Khan, Niambi Tree, our host Verena Rizg, and more to the stage.

We are also excited to have New Hermitage be part of this event, gracing the stage with their gift of musical improvisation to set the vibe!

We're excited to bring this unique event to the city of Halifax. Saturdaze will be featuring local emerging artists performing live, as well as our guest visual artist, Marish Buenavista who will be creating an original piece as the music is played.

We’re going out with a bang! After our set with Halifax Jazz Festival (@hfxjazzfest), we have our after-dark special. We have it divided up into 3 sets.

Kyah Sparks is a Halifax based video-journalist. She’s a former producer at Eastlink TV and former reporter for CBC News. Kyah is also an on camera personality and graduate of Neptune Theatre’s improv conservatory.
